Ołtarz w Kompleksie Kultu Solarnego

Po północnej stronie Górnego Dziedzińca znajduje się Kompleks Kultu Solarnego, który składa się z westybulu – poprzecznego pomieszczenia prowadzącego z Górnego Dziedzińca – oraz dziedzińca z dużym kamiennym ołtarzem. Zgodnie z przeznaczeniem, ta część świątyni pozbawiona była dachu, aby bóg słońce mógł odbierać ofiary składane na masywnym kamiennym ołtarzu. W północnej ścianie dziedzińca wykute zostało głębokie pomieszczenie będące miejscem kultu boga Anubisa. Była to pierwsza część świątyni odsłonięta przez ekspedycję brytyjską w 1893 roku.

Altar in the Solar Cult Complex

On the north side of the Upper Courtyard a Solar Cult Complex is located; it consists of a vestibule - a transverse room leading from the Upper Courtyard - and a courtyard with a large stone altar. As intended, this part of the temple was devoid of a roof, so that the sun god could receive offerings on a massive stone altar. In the northern wall of the courtyard, a deep room was carved, which was a place of worship of the god Anubis. It was the first part of the temple unveiled by the British expedition in 1893.
