Królowa Jahmes

Dekoracja północnego portyku środkowego tarasu zawiera sceny tzw. boskich narodzin, czyli od momentu odwiedzin Jahmes, Wielkiej Małżonki Królewskiej Thotmesa I, matki Hatszepsut przez Amona. W kolejnej scenie zaobserwować można królową-matkę w ciąży, z której w następnych rejestrach na świat przychodzi Hatszepsut. W ten sposób Hatszepsut ugruntowała swoja pozycję jako „córki” boga Amona.

Queen Ahmose

The decoration of the northern portico of the middle terrace includes scenes of the so-called divine birth, that is, from the visit of Ahmose, the Great Royal Wife of Thutmose I, mother of Hatshepsut, by Amon. In the next scene the pregnant queen is presented, from whom Hatshepsut is born in the following registers. In this way, Hatshepsut established her position as a “daughter” of the god Amun.
