Główne Sanktuarium Amona-Ra

Jednym z najważniejszych miejsc w świątyni Hatszepsut w Deir el-Bahari jest Główne Sanktuarium Amona-Ra, które wykute zostało w skałach na poziomie trzeciego tarasu kompleksu. Sanktuarium zlokalizowane zostało dokładnie na osi całego założenia, co wyraźnie wskazuje na jego istotną rolę. Po przejściu przez granitowy portal sanktuarium otwierała się tzw. sala na barkę, w której pozostawiano świętą barkę służącą do transportu figury bóstwa. Dalej, w głębi znajdowało się kolejne prostokątne pomieszczenie określane mianem pomieszczenia posągu. Funkcję tych, jak i pozostałych pomieszczeń i kaplic ustala się na podstawie scen przedstawionych na ich ścianach, które często jednoznacznie informują nas nawet o odprawianych w danym miejscu rytuałach. W Głównym Sanktuarium Amona-Ra, oprócz boskiej barki, wielokrotnie ukazany został król Hatszepsut stojący i wielbiący Amona-Ra.

Main Sanctuary of Amun-Ra

One of the most important places in the Temple of Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari is the Main Sanctuary of Amun-Ra, carved out of the rocks on the level of the third terrace of the complex. The sanctuary is located exactly on the axis of the entire complex, which clearly indicates its important role. After passing through the granite portal of the sanctuary, the so-called a barge room where a sacred barge was left for transporting the figure of the deity. Further in the back was another rectangular room known as the statue room. The function of these as well as other rooms and chapels is determined on the basis of the scenes presented on their walls, which often clearly inform us even about the rituals performed in a given place. In the Main Sanctuary of Amun-Ra, apart from the divine barge, King Hatshepsut has been shown many times standing and worshipping Amun-Ra.
